About SeniorDeli

Restoring dignity and joy in eating for those with swallowing difficulties.

Our story

SeniorDeli was founded in 2013 and entered the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP) incubation programme after 18 months of clinical research with HKU and HKUST. Today SeniorDeli operates across 200+ GBA care homes and hospitals (as of Q2 2026), co-authored the T/SATA 094-2025 dysphagia food standard in 2025, and holds 7 proprietary care food processing patents. The company is a registered social enterprise and an active HKU industry-academia-research collaboration.

Unlike Western approaches that rely on pureed textures, SeniorDeli's core technologies preserve the original look, flavour, and nutrition of food. People with dysphagia can finally enjoy a normal eating experience again — food they can see, smell, and taste.

Today, SeniorDeli serves 200+ care homes and hospitals across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. In Hong Kong, distribution is handled by Getz Bros, committed to making dysphagia care food accessible in a commercially sustainable way.

SeniorDeli's entrepreneurial journey has been written up as a Harvard Business Publishing teaching case study (W33928), used by leading business schools worldwide as research material on social innovation and care economy entrepreneurship.
